Meet Todd Lane, VIcom’s new Director of UCC/IT Integration and Support Services. Todd brings a variety of significant professional experiences into his new role with our team. With a background in both AV and IT, his experience is a great fit for VIcom, as we’ve integrated IT, UCC, and AV solutions for many years. “It’s really the first time in my career where I can say that all my experiences combined are going to be used,” Todd explains as we discuss what made him choose to join the VIcom team. “Coming here, you know, talking with the leadership in-depth, it just became really evident that the culture here was very, very niche.”
As a 100% Employee Owned integration company, the culture here can seem unique. We Genuinely Care is proudly one of our core values. The sincerity of this is proven by both the tenured employee and customer relationships VIcom has, some exceeding 20 years. “The same thing comes out with everybody I’ve met.” Todd concludes, “Everybody likes it here”.
When asked about his plans for his new role, Todd recommends the book “The Ideal Team Player” by Patrick Lencioni. He specifically focuses on the core tenants of the book, “Humble, Hungry, and Smart”. “These things have always been a premise for me in terms of hiring, looking at the team, in terms of coaching, in terms of all of those types of things. If we hire the right people and they have the right skillsets, and we treat them like they’re supposed to be treated, they’re going to stay around and grow and they’re going to be really awesome contributors to the team as a whole.”
