For over 30 years Wilbanks Smith & Thomas has specialized in wealth management for their clients. Headquartered in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia, they had a challenging time engaging in effective communication with their remote offices in Raleigh, Richmond, and Roanoke due to the technical limitations within their large conference room. Limited to poor audio quality and no video capabilities, they needed to enhance their technology to enhance their meetings. Their Trading Room also required the necessary upgrades to facilitate group meetings amongst their traders as well as provide the important market news updates they require to stay up to date.

VIcom provided the necessary upgrades by utilizing a Crestron-based digital solution with a traditional matrix switcher for the large conference room. Large 4k UHD Flat Panels were installed throughout, providing the necessary visual component to facilitate effective meetings and keep their office updated on market news.

Video Conferencing was enabled via cameras and a PC/Laptop driven system that enabled communication through all industry-standard meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc. Audio Conferencing was improved through native devices using SIP and analog lines.

Wireless HDMI technology was enabled for guest connections at the meeting table with an easy-to-use touch panel interface provided to make the whole meeting process streamlined and efficient. The Crestron devices were connected to the network to enable remote management and services.

VIcom worked closely with their custom table manufacturer to ensure the technology fit appropriately inside and on top of the table and that the tables were precisely positioned in the room to accommodate floor boxes and ensure an overall pleasing aesthetic for the space.
